Yes, it would have been gracious of the hotel to accept late cancellations after the news reports, but plenty of online reviews from 2024 and 2025 show that the subpar conditions there were not exactly a secret. A spokeswoman for Yosemite Hospitality, Sheena Weinstein, told me via email that the company, which is a subsidiary of the food services giant Aramark, has made “significant operational improvements to enhance the guest experience” and is “committed to honoring Yosemite’s legacy.”
