The bigger development to “Romeo” storytelling came in the way Millepied’s version veered as much into film as performance. Condensed to around 80 minutes, the choreography took place both on a stage in the Armory’s drill hall and in other parts of the building, a camera following characters as they raced up stairs and made their way down long corridors.
