In search of yellow, I gave the cross-dressing a miss. In a jacket and tie I went through sunny Lahore to look for yellow in three fine gardens. One extends round a famous tomb and its huge enclosure. Another descends down three levels whose fountains and slopes of cascading water are famous around the world. The third is a lesser-known botanic garden built in the past 10 years, a tribute to the continuing interest in public gardening in Lahore.
