The data protection authority warned that chatbots were often recommending the same two parties, lumping together left-leaning voters with the Green-Labour party and voters on the right with the far-right Party for Freedom. Other parties did not feature in results. By over-representing these two parties in replies, the chatbots may have been contributing to political polarisation.
