Let’s start with a point of classification: as forms of decoration, watches and cufflinks don’t quite count. The watch, once a nice accent on a well-dressed man, has become a sad theatre of masculine overcompensation; best to opt out and wear something understated. Cufflinks look great, but a shirt with French cuffs is already formal, so in an informal world something simple works best.
