Each of Dispatch’s eight playable episodes is about an hour long, and will be launched in batches of two over the course of a month. The idea is to make players feel like they’re following a serialised TV story. While episodic storytelling in games is not an entirely new phenomenon, it never quite took off before. Dispatch boasts slick animation, a starry cast including Oscar-nominated American Fiction star Jeffrey Wright and Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul, and some bold ideas to make the case that this format is ready for prime time.
